Missing, Strayed or Stolen Livestock — Iowa — 5/7/2008
LBT has learned of 30 head of cattle missing from Corning, Iowa, since May 6, 2008. There were 16 head of Hereford cows, 13 calves - half Hereford, half BWF, and 1 black bull. If you have information, please contact the Adams County Sheriff at 641/322-4444.

Missing, Strayed or Stolen Livestock — Wyoming — 5/7/2008
LBT has learned of 1 bull missing from Duck Creek Ranch, Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyoming, since May 1, 2008. It is a 5-year-old black bull with trich tags in both ears and a J J lazy left connected brand on the left rear. If you have information, please contact the Wyoming Livestock Board at 307/777-7515.

Horse Found — Texas — 5/7/2008
LBT has learned of 1 horse found near Decatur, Wise County, Texas, in April 2008. It was was found running loose in L.B.J. Grasslands (public federal land) about 45 miles North of Ft.Worth near Decatur, Texas. It is a nice horse in good shape and has a R Lightening Bolt Connected on the left side of face. Missing, Strayed or Stolen Livestock — South Dakota — 5/1/2008
LBT has learned of 6 bulls missing from Hamill, Lyman County, South Dakota, since April 25, 2008. There was one black Angus bull branded JF on the left hip, average weight 1000 pounds, unknown number white ear tag in the left ear with an F on the top, green ear tag in the right ear. There were two red Limousin bulls not branded, average weight 1300 pounds, green ear tags in right ear, reddish pink ear tags in the left ear. There were three black Angus bulls not branded, average weight 1300 pounds, green ear tags in the right ear. The five unbranded bulls were recently purchased from Lonely Valley Limousin in Creston, Nebraska, and have the below listed tattoos in the left ear and have their DNA registered. LBT has learned of 1 cow missing from Sheridan County, Wyoming, since March 28, 2008. It is a black bald face Angus 4-year-old cow. LBT has learned of 2 horses from Park County, Wyoming, since November 2007. They are draft-cross mare and colt. The mare is 7 to 8 years old and black and has small white spot on head, white above hooves on rear feet, injury scar on right knee and is ready to foal any time. OWNER FOUND (5/1/2008) — Found Livestock — South Dakota — 4/18/2008
LBT has learned of 19 head of cattle roaming around Watertown, South Dakota, for the last week. They are black yearling heifers. All of the surrounding neighbors have been contacted with no owner found. Some of the heifers are branded with what appears to be a Circle with a lazy inverted J connected on the left hip. The heifers that are branded have red ear tags in their left ears. This brand is not recorded with the South Dakota State Brand Board. The Brand Board has requested information in regards to whether or not they have bangs or state identification tags in their ears. LBT has learned of 150-170 head of goats missing from Twin Falls, Idaho, since April 7, 2008. They are white/red head 2-4 year-old “Bore” goats. Ninety percent are nannys and 10% are billys. They have a multi colored round ear tag with “TEXAS” printed on them. There are no babies, all adult goats, and they are considered meat goats. LBT has learned of 14 head of cattle missing from McClennan County, Texas, since January 2008. They were 2-year-old yellow Charolais heifers. They had a yellow ear tag in each ear and had been calfhood vaccinated and also had a T brand on the right hip. LBT has learned of 2 head of cattle missing from Sparks, Oklahoma, since March 28, 2008. There was one brown cow and a one-month-old steer calf. Identifying marks on the cattle were ear tags with #558 and #57; an AR-tattoo; and an Anvil brand on the left hip. LBT has learned of 51 head of cattle missing from Dalhart, Texas, since February 2008. They are mix colored cows with a few calves. Missing, Strayed or Stolen Livestock — Oklahoma — 3/25/2008
LBT has learned of 31 head of cattle missing from Cedardale, Major County, Oklahoma, since March 19, 2008. There are 16 Hereford cows, 5 black baldies cows and 10 Hereford baby calves. All cows have a diamond brand on their left hip. Some cows are ear notched in both ears. Stolen Tack — Texas — 3/25/2008
LBT has learned of some saddles stolen from Georgetown, Texas, since March 2, 2008.

  1. Four T brand 16” roping saddle, full double D rigging, silver conchos. Half breed (basket stamp and roughout leather) style with medium colored leather. Roughout seat, roughout fenders with a 7HL connected brand on the “on side” fender and a Bar M on the “off side” fender. Leather basket stamp breast collar and rawhide covered stirrups. Neoprene cinch.
  2. Longhorn “Carter Cutler” brand cutting saddle, 15 1/2” seat, double D rigging. Floral design tooling, white buckstitch on swells and cantle, roughout seat, leather covered stirrups.
  3. Phil Dunn brand roping saddle on a modified association tree, 17” seat, full double D rigging, rawhide and silver laced cantle, full basket stamp and pin oak leaves/ acorns tooling. The “on side” back jockey had a 7HL connected brand tooled in the leather. The “off side” back jockey had a Bar M tooled in the leather. THese same brands were also tooled into the breast collar. Slick light colored seat, rawhide covered stirrups and a neoprene cinch.
  4. Phil Dunn brand roping saddle in the old Will James style, 17 1/2” seat, high back cantle, medium colored leather, mostly slick with slick matching seat, “Running W” border tooling all around the edges and on the fender edges. Some pin oak and acorn tooling on the corners of the jockies, skirts and fender corners. On the “on side” back jockey was 7HL connected brand and on the “off side” back jockey was a Bar M brand. These same brands were on the breast collar. It had old styleleather covered stirrups with tooling. Latigo wrapped horn, neoprene cinch.

Missing, Strayed or Stolen Livestock — Oklahoma — 3/3/2008
LBT has learned of 19 head of cattle missing from Frederick, Tillman County, Oklahoma. They were Holstein cows, milking stock They did not have brands or distinguishing marks. They have orange or yellow ear tags in right or left ears. If you have information, please contact the Tillman County Sheriff at 580/335-3013.

LBT has learned of 22 head of cattle missing from Marlow, Stephens County, Oklahoma, since February 24, 2008. They were black Angus yearling steers and heifers weighing between 350 and 500 pounds with a swallow fork notch in the right ear and a 5 Bar brand on the right hip. LBT has learned of 30 head of cattle missing from Van Zandt, Texas, since February 28, 2008. There were 29 cows and 1 bull. All were black Angus with a C brand on the right hip. Missing, Strayed or Stolen Livestock — Alabama — 2/28/2008
LBT has learned of 4 head of cattle missing from Spruce Pine, Alabama, since February 24, 2008. They are the endangered Pineywood breed, so they have horns and weigh approximately 400 pounds. They look similar to Longhorns, but their horns are not as long. There were 2 heifers: 1 solid red with an 87 and Flying V brands on the left hip that are haired over; 1 white with a red head and some red on sides and a perfect “Nike” swoosh on forehead that is haired over. There were 2 bulls: 1 white with black head and shoulders bull and 1 white with black ears and some black on legs. LBT has learned of 73 head of cattle missing from Bodie Hills, Mono County, California, since January 1, 2008. There are 53 cows adn 20 heifers. They are black cross, age 2 to 5 years, weighing between 800 and 950 pounds. They have a M flying brand on the right hip. They also have a notch out of tip of right ear and notch out of bottom of left ear. If you have information, please contact the California Dept. of Food & Ag Bureau of Livestock ID at 916/654-0889.

Missing, Strayed or Stolen Livestock — Minnesota — 2/22/2008
LBT has learned of 8 head of heifers missing from Luverne Livestock Auction in Luverne, Minnesota, since last night, February 21, 2008. They were black and red with one red baldy. Seven of the heifers were 750-800 pounds, medium fleshed. One was an all black heifer weighing 925 pounds and was tall and green. RECOVERED (2/26/2007) — Missing, Strayed or Stolen Livestock — Nebraska — 2/22/2008
LBT has learned of 1 horse missing from Harrison, Sioux County, Nebraska, since February 15, 2008. It is a Quarter Horse mare, age 6 years, black/bay roan. She carries her head high and is missing a front tooth on top right side and has a scar on the left hind leg. She also has a small white spot on her forehead and comes to the name “Crawford”. She weighs 1600+ pounds and is 16+ hands and can turn light bay roan in summer. If you have information, please contact the Nebraska Brand Committee at 308/763-2930.

LBT has learned of 9 head missing from Lanesboro, Minnesota. The cattle are black and black baldy cows weighing between 1200 and 1400 pounds. Six to seven of them are open and 2 or 3 of them are bred. They would have green ear tags in both ears with white 3 digit numbers. They have a registered Nebraska brand (L over arrow facing front of the cow) on the right hip. They have Bangs tags and tattoos and metal ID tags. The open cows may also have a white tag. LBT has learned of 25 head of cattle missing from Stockton, Cedar County, Missouri, sometime between January 26 and January 28, 2008. They were black and red Angus steers and heifers weighing 500 pounds. Some were branded with a K lazy left S connected brand on the right hip. Southwest Missouri Law Enforcement has stated that they are having a lot of cattle thefts in their area. They believe that the trailer is limiting the number taken as most thefts are around 15 to 20 head at a time. They also seem to be targeting the Amish in that area. LBT has learned of 15 head of cattle missing from Aurora, Missouri, since January 23, 2008. There were two Charolais cows with ear tag numbers 30 and 42; two BWF cows with black spots on their face; one older black Angus cow with calfhood vaccination ear tag; one black Angus cow with red left ear tag number 48; one black Angus heifer; two mixed breed cows; and six mixed breed calves. LBT has learned of 19 head of cattle missing from Everton, Dade County, Missouri, since January 23, 2008. There were assorted steers and heifers weighing 400 to 600 pounds. They have a Slash J brand on the left hip. and were mostly black with some red, one Charolais Brahma cross and four with horns. They also had green numbered ear tags. LBT has learned of 32 head of cattle missing from Fruitland, Missouri, since early morning hours of January 17, 2008. There are 18 solid black heifers and 1 red heifer weighing an average of 536 pounds. There were 10 solid black and 3 black white face male calves weighing an average of 371 pounds.
