World Livestock Auctioneer Championship Videos & CDs
     In June 1963, Livestock Marketing Association held the first annual World Livestock Auctioneer Championship (WLAC). The purpose: to spotlight North America’s top livestock auctioneers and to salute their traditionally important role in the competitive livestock marketing process.
     The auctioneer's role continues to be recognized each year as livestock auctioneers from across North America converge at an LMA member market to compete for the World title.
     The championship, held each June, consists of semi-finals and finals portion in conjunction with the LMA Annual meeting.
     LMA is proud to sponsor an event that brings together top livestock auctioneers in a competition that showcases professionalism and promotes the auction method of marketing.
     The WLAC video and CD give listeners an opportunity to compare, practice or merely enjoy that distinctive song of the livestock auctioneer.

True Price Discovery Video
     This video, created to describe the service livestock auction markets provide to their customers, is a personal look into the reasons the auction method of marketing is best for all members of the livestock industry. Several market owners, feedlot operators, buyers and other industry individuals discuss the positive reasoning behind the true price discovery method of selling livestock.

Handling Livestock Naturally Video
     This multi-award winning video is well received by its audience. It offers handling tips for ranchers, market owners and transporters. It was produced with the cooperation of recognized handling expert Temple Grandin, from the University of Illinois.

Buffalo Lessons Video
     This Telly award winning video provides the viewer with not only a history lesson concerning the Native American and his buffalo, but also draws a distinct parallel between them and today’s rancher. What do they have in common? Like the Indians of a century ago, they struggle to survive and fend off the public policies that threaten their existence.

LMA Media Training Video
     This video takes a direct approach in teaching the fundamentals of media training from an agriculture point of view. Titled “Don’t Be Afraid, Be Prepared,” this video prepares the viewer to handle the news media if they should come knocking on your door. Accompanying the video is a LMA media training packet which contains media tip sheets, proper answers to tough questions, industry facts and more.
